The National Commission for Data Protection (CNPD) - Luxembourg is an independent public body responsible for ensuring that personal data is collected, used, and shared in compliance with data protection laws. It safeguards individuals' fundamental rights, particularly their right to privacy, by monitoring the legality of data processing under the GDPR and national laws related to data protection, criminal justice, national security, and electronic communications.

Expected to be the competent authority for market surveillance under the upcoming Artificial Intelligence Act, the CNPD will participate in several discussion panels at Nexus 2025, where it will share its expertise on data protection issues and AI regulation in an innovation-driven context.
